The 2021 Brier Pool

Final Pool A and B Team Standings As of Thursday, March 11

(Plus Complete Championship Round wins after Saturday's Draws)

Hi all! Below are the final Pool A and B team standings in the tournament! And beside them is a tally of how many Championship Round wins each team scored. All the A teams won in the first draw, and all the B teams won in the second! Dang that's close! (In the Champ Round, each A team plays all 4 B teams! And the B's play all 4 A's.)

Now a note about the standings. Two ties. In Pool A, NONT and MAN tied in wins, but NONT beat MAN in the RR so they are ranked 3rd and MAN 4th.

As for Pool B... a three way tie between CAN, ONT, and SASK! And each of them won one game against the others! So Curling Canada goes to the "Last Stone Draw Standings", which are done for the purpose of breaking ties, where "who beat who" is still tied. (Thanks Brad for this info!) So this decided the ranking CAN, ONT, then SASK. The final Pool standings below will remain permanently only on Wikipedia! Unfortunately Curling Canada will add Championship Wins to the Pool A and B standings! Which is kinda stupid, sorry, then how do you know who ended up where in the future?? They did this with the Hearts as well. You'd think Jones and Manitoba finished first in their pool, but no! They were SECOND before the Champ round! This can only be confirmed on Wikipedia now! OH WELL, below are the final standings in the pools!

Hey, one more thing, if you're interested. While nobody picked Glenn Howard/Wayne Middaugh's Wild Card 3 team to take first in A, there were 6 of us who picked the top 4 teams in B in exact order! From 2nd place all the way down to our last place finisher! So that's not bad! Bragging rights I guess!
